![]() It is hard to believe that my time as an intern has come to an end. Working full time (2 jobs!) and being an intern full time nearly killed me, but it was worth it. I am officially equity eligible! Woohoo!! The biggest thing I took away - surprisingly - was how amazing my education at The University of Montana was. Everything in my internship was review - which isn't a bad thing. Its always beneficial to go back to "the barre". That said, some of the other interns mentioned to me that they never had to work on a crew, or only got to do 'x' number of shows. We all have BFAs or BAs - and now I'm even more proud of mine. I usually get raised eyebrows and chuckles when I go into an audition and they see where I went to school. I love having Montana on my resume because I think it helps me stand out. Montana was an excellent choice for me because of the life adventure it offered. For a California girl, it was like be transported into another country. The culture is different. Now I understand on a whole new level that I not only got thrilling life experiences and lessons, but an outstanding education. (And to think my high school said I wouldn't succeed if I didn't go to a UC. UC, Schmoooo-cee) The photo above is of me as a 'charwoman' in A Christmas Carol. As an intern I learned a lot about myself as an actress and person and have come out stronger (Yaass Britney, yaasss). Cheers to working together in the future ladies. I have no doubt we will be reunited again soon.
